Bernadette McSherry grew up in Melbourne, Australia. She has degrees in Arts, Law and Psychology from the University of Melbourne, York University, Canada and Monash University and is a 2016 graduate of Stanford University's Online Certificate Program in Novel Writing. She has worked as a lawyer, judge’s associate and legal academic and is currently an Emeritus Professor at the University of Melbourne. When she isn’t writing, she can be found pottering in the garden, painting, walking on the beach or politely urging on the members of the Collingwood Football Team.
